The Examination Division one of the operational Division is responsible for appointment of examiners, preparation of question papers, conduct of examination, evaluation of scripts, compilation and declaration of results and certification. The Division is headed  by the Controller of Examination under the supervision of  the Vice Chancellor of the University.

In BOU two type of evaluation is followed :

continuous evaluation through tutor marked / practical assignments, and the project.

Semester- end evaluation through Semester – End examination which are conducted at more than 1000 centers all

over the country for BOU 21 formal programs.

 Most  of the Examination result are being processed by the software. At thus stage, Bangladesh Open university is developing the appropriate and integrated software for the management of student records, examinations results, processing and publication of results for its all programmers.

Examination Division is working in collaboration and coordination with six Schools and twelve Regional Resources Centers of the University. For the 4ffcient management and coordination of this Division it is required for materialization of software exercise.
